About the role

Overview The Systems Engineer will serve as a technical authority for complex system issues, working across network, compute, storage, operating systems, middleware, databases, and applications. This position will play a key role in analyzing existing environments, developing detailed engineering designs, executing modernization and transformation initiatives, and resolving complex cross-stack technical challenges. What will you do? Perform hands-on systems engineering across network, compute, storage, operating systems, middleware, databases, and applications. Analyze and document current-state ("as-is") infrastructure, platform, and application architectures. Develop detailed engineering designs for modernization, optimization, and transformation initiatives in collaboration with System and Cloud Architects. Lead and execute cloud and system implementations, migrations, and upgrades. Ensure systems meet established requirements for availability, scalability, performance, security, and compliance. Integrate infrastructure and platform environments with DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines. Troubleshoot and resolve complex, cross-stack issues spanning infrastructure, platforms, and applications. Serve as a technical authority for complex system issues and provide guidance throughout investigation and resolution. Collaborate across multiple engineering teams, technical organizations, and stakeholders to identify, address, and elevate complete system issues. Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architecture and engineering diagrams, standards, and associated technical documents. Brief leadership on system architecture, engineering challenges, risks, and technical issues. Translate complex technical issues into clear business and operational impacts for leadership and stakeholders. Do you have what it takes? Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Typically requires BS degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience Demonstrated hands-on systems engineering experience across networking, compute, storage, operating systems, middleware, databases, and applications. Demonstrated experience analyzing and documenting as-is infrastructure, platform, and application architectures. Demonstrated experience creating detailed engineering designs supporting modernization, optimization, and transformation initiatives. Experience working collaboratively with System Architects and Cloud Architects. Demonstrated experience leading and executing cloud and system implementations, migrations, and upgrades. Experience engineering systems to meet availability, scalability, performance, security, and compliance requirements. Demonstrated experience integrating infrastructure and platforms with DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting complex technical issues spanning infrastructure, platform, and application layers.li> Demonstrated experience collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders to resolve and elevate complex system issues. Demonstrated experience developing technical documentation, engineering diagrams, standards, and supporting documentation.
