About the role

About the Role: You'll provide field layout, GPS control, site work, grading, underground utilities, and demolition projects. You'll work closely with foremen, project managers, and field crews to keep projects accurate and on track.
What You'll Do: Perform construction layout and staking for site work, grading, excavation, utilities, and demolition Establish and maintain jobsite control points, benchmarks, and GPS localizations Operate GPS rover/base systems, total stations, and lasers to transfer plans to the field Review plans and drawings to catch discrepancies before work begins Communicate layout data clearly to field and office teams
What You Bring: 1-3 years of experience in construction layout, surveying, or field engineering (civil, site work, or utility construction preferred) Strong GPS. Topcon GPS/Total Station experience a plus Ability to read civil/utility drawings and construction plans High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills Valid driver's license with a clean record Familiarity with Topcon Office, Carlson IntelliCAD, Pix 4D, Agtek, or Bluebeam a plus Drone pilot license/mapping experience a plus Associate's or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Construction Management preferred, but equivalent field experience is welcome Why SES Competitive pay and a full benefits package: 401(k) with company match, paid holidays and PTO, medical/dental/vision, and disability and life insurance.
