About the role

Manufacturing ExpeditersPGS Worldwide is seeking Manufacturing Expediters in Aiken, South Carolina for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. These positions will support manufacturing and assembly operations by staging and moving weldments, fixtures, parts, and production materials throughout the facility. Expediters will also review production paperwork, monitor parts for damage, and operate forklifts, cranes, rigging equipment, and other material-handling equipment.
Required Skills: High school diploma or equivalent.1+ year of relevant manufacturing, production, material-handling, or related experience. Forklift experience. Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Ability to become forklift qualified or certified. Ability to successfully complete crane and rigging training within two months of hire. Ability to become crane/rigging qualified or certified within two months of hire. Basic problem-solving skills in a welding, machining, or manufacturing environment. Ability to review production paperwork before moving material to the next to identify damaged parts or components. Strong commitment to manufacturing safety. Professional conduct and commitment to continuous improvement.
What You'll Do: Load and unload parts onto weld tables and fixtures. Stage weldments, fixtures, and materials in production and client-down areas. Move parts and assemblies between manufacturing production paperwork before releasing material to the next process. Monitor parts and components for visible damage or other issues. Support basic problem-solving within welding and machining forklifts, hand carts, cranes, rigging equipment, magnets, and other material-handling equipment. Follow established lifting, rigging, and material-handling procedures. Maintain safe and organized production areas. Support production teams with material movement and workflow requirements. Work Schedule / Shift Multiple shift options are available: Day Shift: 3/12 schedule, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM.Second Shift: 4/40 schedule, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM.Overtime may be required depending on production needs.
