About the role

Surge Training Assistant Five Rivers Analytics (FRA), an Akima company, is looking for a Surge Training Assistant to work in Colorado Springs, CO on a temporary, fixed-duration basis. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! The Surge Training Assistant provides dedicated stand-up capacity for the Mission Delta 31 (MD 31) Training Support task order during the Base Period and Option Year 1, focused on initial PEX database bootstrapping, backlog resolution, and cross-functional scheduling support. This is a temporary, fixed-duration position that demobilizes at the start of Option Year 2 as the training program transitions to steady-state operations.
Responsibilities: Coordinate and execute the initial set-up, population, and validation of user profiles, course architectures, and historical training records in the PEX database. Identify, catalog, and resolve backlogs of manual grade sheets, training waivers, and qualification records. Support mapping of existing Master Task Lists (MTLs) and Ready Spacecrew Program (RSP) requirements into the digital PEX structure. Assist with administrative coordination, student registrations, room assignments, and facility setup for concurrent Qualification Training (QT) and Advanced Training (AT) cycle launches. Provide general database entry, scheduling, and metrics collection backfill during peak load periods. Support a smooth transition from legacy tracking methods to the unified PEX system.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.2-4 years of relevant training administration, records management, or data entry experience. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume stand-up environment with shifting priorities. Active SECRET security clearance required.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Patriot Excalibur (PEX) or a similar training/readiness management database. Prior experience supporting contract transitions or program stand-ups. Experience supporting U.S. Space Force or Air Force training units. This position is contingent upon contract award and funding. Applicants selected may be offered but cannot begin work until funding has been confirmed.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
