About the role
Leading complex accounting processes, the full-time North Carolina Licensed Senior Accountant will prepare and analyze financial statements, manage monthly and annual closing activities, and provide technical guidance to junior team members in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Provide technical accounting guidance and mentoring to junior team members
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting within the insurance or financial services industry
Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or progress toward CPA preferred
