About the role
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to grow truck sales
- Conduct regular in-person visits to customers within eastern Canada
- Proactively identify sales opportunities through cold calls, referrals, and territory research
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate truck specifications and financing options
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory, manufacturer programs, and industry trends
- Conduct sales presentations, vehicle demonstrations, and test drives with a company-provided demo truck
- Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and deal documentation in compliance with company and OEM policies
- Collaborate with finance, parts, and service departments to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Utilize CRM system to manage sales pipeline, customer interactions, and follow-up activity
- Attend trade shows, customer events, and manufacturer training as needed
- Meet or exceed annual sales targets
- Respond and follow-up with inbound leads and opportunities
- Previous experience in the work-truck or related industries
- Good knowledge of truck-mounted equipment and applications
- Good time-management skills
- Self-directed and motivated
- Proven track record of business development and territory development
- Ability to close deals and develop leads
- Valid drivers license
