Maintenance Technician Hourly-Production Culpeper - Stevensburg, VA 22741 Overview Salary Range $17.00 - $22.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Travel Percentage None Description At Bell Nursery the Maintenance Technician will help with the overall maintenance, repair, upgrades, and improvements of our greenhouse facility. This role will perform regular maintenance and repairs of the greenhouse structure, production equipment, plumbing-PVC, and general housekeeping of the building. This is a hands-on role requiring basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with a focus on irrigation systems, greenhouse maintenance, and the installation and repair of production equipment. Tasks and Responsibilities Repairs mechanical equipment and machinery used in greenhouse operations Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on plant equipment Ensuring functionality and reliability of all mechanical systems Install and maintain new equipment Troubleshoot mechanical and/or electrical issues Assist/organize repairs as needed Qualifications Skills & Competencies Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed Ability to lift 40 pounds Ability to drive maintenance equipment Requirements General, if not better than average knowledge of power equipment, electric, and plumbing Strong communication skills Ability to perform under minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment in problem solving Works well in both a team environment and independently Adjusts to changing conditions and willingness to work off-shifts Available for On Call Emergencies Bilingual a Plus We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic protected by law.
