About the role
Analyst, Payroll The Payroll Analyst is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and supporting the Payroll Management team to ensure pay is processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with all applicable regulations. This role handles daily payroll operations, resolves pay discrepancies, supports reporting needs, and delivers excellent customer service to crewmembers while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Essential Responsibilities:
Process end-to-end payroll for hourly and/or salaried crewmembers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Review and analyze payroll data for accuracy, facilitate corrections, validate payroll for finalization and payment, and reconcile payroll results using SAP.Pull electronic time clock data using timekeeping software; review downloaded information for accuracy and partner with Sr. Analyst to reconcile and resolve discrepancies. Analyze payroll results, reports, and supporting data to identify discrepancies, unusual variances, trends, and potential payroll risks requiring further review or corrective action. Research payroll discrepancies, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions, including processing necessary adjustments. Perform pay-period-over-pay-period analysis to identify significant changes in payroll results, earnings, deductions, taxes, hours, and other key payroll metrics. Analyze recurring payroll errors and exceptions to identify trends, underlying causes, and opportunities for process or control improvements. Use payroll data and reporting tools to support reconciliations, audits, compliance reviews, and ad hoc analysis requested by Payroll leadership or internal business partners. Evaluate payroll exceptions and data anomalies, determine appropriate resolution, and escalate material issues or risks when necessary. Assist in developing and monitoring payroll metrics, controls, and reporting that provide visibility into payroll accuracy, operational performance, and emerging trends. Provide excellent customer service to crewmembers regarding payroll questions and issues, demonstrating ownership and urgency. Administer payroll processes in compliance with JetBlue policies, collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), and all applicable regulations and legislation. Prepare and analyze payroll reports and assist internal partners with payroll-related questions and data requests. Process special/off-cycle payroll items, including termination payments and bonuses. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations, validation, and issue resolution. Handle sensitive information with a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Other duties as assigned.
