Position Title: Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant
Location: Holbrook, NY
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00/hour ($50,000 – $55,000/year)
About the Role: Randstad is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our close-knit team of 19 employees. In this position, you will train directly under our current team member, transitioning into her full day-to-day responsibilities as she moves into a senior role. You will report directly to our Financial Controller / HR Director. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a collaborative, small-office environment and wants a hands-on, end-to-end understanding of our financial administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Operations: Post daily payments, reconcile accounts, and process monthly/weekly billing. Complex Invoicing: Handle ~12+ intricate, detailed invoices regularly, ensuring accuracy and proper coding. Software Management: Maintain and manage financial data using Quick Books Desktop. General Administrative Support: Assist with office workflow, reporting, and team coordination alongside Kelly. Financial Reporting: Prepare routine updates and reports for the Financial Controller.
Requirements & Qualifications: Degree: Bachelor's or Associate's degree required. Software Expertise: Required proficiency in Quick Books Desktop (experience exclusively in Quick Books Online will not qualify) and intermediate-level Microsoft Excel. Skillset: Strong organizational skills, sharp attention to detail, high-level multitasking capability, and clear communication skills. Team-Oriented: Comfortable working closely in a shared office environment and engaging across a small team.
