About the role

VITAS Healthcare is looking for piano players who are able to devote some time to playing for hospice in our In-patient unit. Sometimes what a hospice patient needs most is a way to express feelings without talking. By playing or singing favorite songs or hymns, VITAS Healthcare music volunteers help patients and families reconnect with feelings and memories that can bring about a sense of peace and happiness. VITAS Healthcare provides training on how to work with people at the end of life. The musician provides talent, compassion and time. Assignments are made according to the volunteer's time and location. This is a great opportunity for you to give back to the community. By taking time out of your busy week you can make the biggest difference in another's life. VITAS Healthcare takes pride in its volunteers, and we welcome you to become part of our team. There are many locations throughout the Brevard County area you can choose from. Your commitment is completely up to you, whether you spend one day a week or one day a month. Your time is always appreciated.
