About the role
Hoffoot Recruites is hiring a General Laborer to support epoxy floor repair and concrete coating projects. This role involves surface preparation, epoxy application, and working in physically demanding construction environments.
Position:
General Laborer - Epoxy Floor Prep/ Repair Schedule: Monday-Friday + OT and Saturdays Location: North Phoenix, AZ Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire Pay: $25.00/hr Responsibilities Perform surface preparation including cleaning, grinding, and shot-blasting concrete for epoxy application Support structural repair work by injecting epoxy resins into cracks and joints Measure and mix epoxy materials (resins and hardeners) according to required ratios Apply coatings including base layers, decorative finishes, and protective topcoats using rollers, squeegees, or spray equipment Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as grinders, vacuums, and injection systems Transport, stage, and organize materials, tools, and equipment across the job site Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with safety standards Follow all jobsite procedures and supervisor instructions Work on your feet for extended periods and move throughout the job site daily Lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 50 lbs regularly (heavier items with assistance) Perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and climbing ladders or stairs Use hands and tools to handle materials and complete repetitive tasks Maintain balance and coordination while working in elevated or confined areas Work in physically demanding conditions with continuous movement and manual labor Qualifications Understanding of epoxy materials, curing processes, and environmental impact on application Experience with concrete repair, coatings, epoxy flooring, or similar construction processes preferred Ability to measure, mix, and apply epoxy materials with attention to detail for smooth, high-quality finishes Knowledge of OSHA standards, PPE requirements, and safe handling of chemicals Experience operating specialized equipment such as grinders, vacuums, or injection tools preferred Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and active construction environments Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, including heat Ability to work overtime and weekends as required Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a safety-focused mindset Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team Prior construction or general labor experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred Bilingual in Mandarin or Spanish is required
