About the role
- Manage multiple construction projects efficiently and accurately
- Oversee quality control throughout each project’s life cycle
- Perform data entry into CFAS databases and disbursement systems
- Serve as the main financial and accounting contact for assigned projects
- Coordinate with team members and clients to deliver high-quality results within established timelines
- Prepare engagement letters, reports, and supporting documentation
- Handle extensive email and phone communication with clients and vendors
- Review and verify invoices, backup documentation, and lien waivers
- Manage fund disbursements to contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor activity from both administrative and accounting perspectives
- Maintain accurate project records, including subcontractor/vendor lists, check details, and payment information
- Address client questions, concerns, and follow-ups promptly and professionally
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities among team members as needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Education: Minimum 2-year accounting degree preferred
- Experience: Two or more years of experience in construction accounting, financial services, bookkeeping, accounts payable, or a related field preferred.
- Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting/filtering, and data analysis functions. Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and QuickBooks Desktop also vital to this position.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding construction contracts, budgets, and cost estimates is highly beneficial
