Senior Operations ManagerThe Senior Operations Manager provides strategic and hands-on leadership for a large commercial janitorial and floor care operation. This role oversees daily service delivery, develops operational leaders, drives continuous improvement, and ensures consistent execution of quality, safety, and customer service standards.This position requires a highly visible field leader who can effectively balance operational strategy with hands-on execution, build strong teams, and deliver measurable results.Operational Leadership:Provide overall leadership and direction for janitorial and floor care operationsOversee daily service execution, ensuring quality standards and contractual requirements are consistently metLead supervisors, managers, and frontline associates through coaching, accountability, and performance managementConduct regular operational reviews, facility inspections, and quality auditsIdentify opportunities to improve productivity, service delivery, and operational efficiencyDevelop and execute action plans to address performance gapsJanitorial & Floor Care Expertise:Lead commercial cleaning and specialty floor care programs, including:Daily janitorial servicesHard surface maintenanceFloor stripping and refinishingWaxing and recoatingBurnishing and polishingCarpet extractionDeep cleaning programsSpecialty cleaning projectsEnsure teams are trained and equipped to execute proper cleaning procedures and floor care standardsDrive consistency in equipment utilization, chemical management, safety practices, and quality expectationsTeam Leadership & Development:Lead, mentor, and develop operational leaders, supervisors, and frontline employeesBuild a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvementEstablish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and feedbackPartner with Talent Acquisition and Human Resources on staffing, onboarding, retention, and workforce planningIdentify and develop future leaders within the organizationClient Partnership & Service Excellence:Serve as a key operational partner to the client, ensuring exceptional service delivery and satisfactionBuild strong relationships through proactive communication and responsivenessLead resolution of service concerns, escalations, and operational challengesParticipate in performance reviews and operational discussionsIdentify opportunities to enhance service quality and strengthen the client partnershipFinancial & Business Management:Manage operational performance through effective labor planning, scheduling, and resource allocationMonitor labor utilization, overtime, supplies, and operating expensesAnalyze performance metrics and implement strategies to improve resultsSupport financial objectives through operational discipline and continuous improvementEnsure resources are effectively aligned to meet service expectationsRequired Qualifications:7+ years of progressive experience in commercial janitorial services, facilities management, environmental services, or integrated facilities servicesExperience managing large-scale facility operations with significant hourly workforcesStrong background in commercial floor care programs and specialty cleaning servicesProven experience leading supervisors, managers, and frontline teamsExperience managing client relationships within a contracted services environmentStrong understanding of labor management, scheduling, quality control, and safety practicesDemonstrated ability to improve operational performance and develop high-performing teamsExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsAbility to provide hands-on leadership within an active facility environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience with a national facilities services provider or commercial cleaning organizationExperience managing large corporate, industrial, aviation, healthcare, manufacturing, or high-traffic facilitiesBackground managing complex service operations with high customer expectationsBilingual English/Spanish preferredExperience with WinTeam or similar facilities management platformsIdeal Candidate ProfileA hands-on operational leader who leads from the fieldExperienced managing large janitorial or facilities service teamsKnowledgeable in commercial floor care processes and quality standardsSkilled at developing supervisors and building strong teamsComfortable managing client expectations while driving operational resultsPassionate about service excellence and continuous improvementAt Velociti Services, we believe exceptional service starts with exceptional people.
