Role Description: This full-time, on-site Entry Level QA Laboratory Technician role is based at ISC Gums’ facility in Edison, NJ. The technician will conduct routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing samples, performing basic analytical and sensory evaluations, and accurately recording and reporting test results. The role also involves supporting QA documentation, following standard operating procedures, participating in investigations of non-conforming materials, and collaborating with production and quality teams to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient laboratory environment.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills, including sample preparation and safe handling of materials. Candidates should possess experience or comfort with laboratory equipment operation, calibration, and routine maintenance. Candidates should possess quality control skills, including following SOPs and documenting test results with accuracy. Candidates should possess analytical skills for interpreting data, identifying deviations, and reporting findings clearly. Candidates should possess sensory evaluation skills to assess product attributes where required. Additional beneficial qualifications include an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food science, biology, or a related field; basic understanding of GMP and food safety principles; strong attention to detail; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and the ability to work collaboratively and follow safety and quality guidelines.
