WASH GENERAL MAINTENANCE

Salary Range: $22.88 To $23.71 Hourly The General Maintenance role supports mill operations by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and general facility upkeep to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB Perform general facility maintenance and repairs, including plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets), door hardware, and minor carpentry Maintain mill grounds, including lawn care, debris removal, and general property upkeep Operate and maintain tools and equipment, including lawn care equipment (mowers, trimmers), tractors, and other light machinery Perform routine preventative maintenance, including HVAC filter changes and basic system cleaning Assist with basic operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment system Conduct routine inspections and testing as required; identify and report maintenance or safety concerns Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and testing records Assist with general janitorial duties to support overall facility cleanliness and organization Perform painting and minor facility improvements as needed Support overall mill operations by completing assigned tasks and responding to maintenance needs in a timely manner Perform other related duties as assigned BEHAVIORAL Demonstrates reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality Follows all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements; contributes to a safe work environment Follows direction from supervisors and completes assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner Communicates clearly, respectfully, and professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and other departments Uses sound judgment to identify, report, and address maintenance or safety concerns Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly work area Works cooperatively with others to support overall mill operations Adapts to changing priorities and work assignments in a fast-paced environment Demonstrates accountability for the quality and completion of assigned work Treats all employees with respect and contributes to a professional and inclusive workplace

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED Maintenance or related experience Basic mechanical aptitude Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Ability to perform basic math calculations Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the work shift Ability to frequently push, pull, and lift up to 75 pounds Ability to occasionally lift up to 150 pounds with assistance or appropriate equipment Manufacturing/production environment with exposure to noise; hearing protection required Use of compressed air and other equipment requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Exposure to varying temperatures, indoor and outdoor conditions The General Maintenance role supports mill operations by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and general facility upkeep to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production. Eligible employees receive eleven (11) paid holidays, medical, dental, prescription drug coverage, short-term disability benefits, vision care reimbursement, shoe reimbursement, and a 401(k) retirement plan with Company matching contributions up to $750 annually, plus an annual employer fixed contribution of $1,300.
