About the Role: As a Medical Records Specialist at Respiratory and Rehabilitation Center of Rhode Island, you will be responsible for: Completing the responsibility of ensuring patient medical records are up-to-date, complete, and compliant with regulationsFollowing up with doctors' offices and medical directors to ensure we have a copy of all physician ordersPreparing medical record requests in a timely mannerScanning all necessary hard copy medical records into the electronic medical recordAccompanying residents on doctor's appointments and providing patient transport as neededRequirements: High school diploma requiredExperience in medical records preferably in a Long-Term Care facilityAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive informationFull-time position with flexible scheduling
