We are looking for an experienced Sr IT Developer to support engineering-focused software initiatives in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This is a Contract position for a hands-on developer who can build and enhance backend applications while working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. The role calls for strong technical depth in Oracle-based development tools, disciplined code management, and a practical approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend software solutions that support business and engineering application needs. Build and enhance Oracle-based applications using tools such as Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, and Oracle JDeveloper. Create, optimize, and troubleshoot database objects, stored procedures, and scripts with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Plus. Collaborate with team members through Agile Scrum practices to plan work, review progress, and deliver iterative improvements. Use GitHub for version control, code collaboration, and maintaining development standards across the project. Contribute to application testing efforts, including structured experimentation and analysis such as A/B testing where appropriate.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
