About the role
WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a qualified Neurologist to join a physician-owned and managed practice in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to cover multiple clinical locations on an outpatient-only basis, providing crucial assessments for patients in the disability and workers compensation programs. With no on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling options, this position is ideal for those looking to balance a rewarding career with personal commitments.
Responsibilities:
Cover multiple clinical locations across the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island. Conduct primary care, general health, neurological, and mental health assessments. Determine patients' ability to work and assess mental health status and well-being. Address conditions such as depression and anxiety. Perform EMGs; ability to conduct EEGs is a plus. Diagnose medical conditions and manage chronic health issues. Refer out most Medicaid long-term care cases. Work alongside a specialist focusing on headache and head trauma cases.
Requirements:
DOT and Workers compensation experience preferred. Workers Comp number preferred, willingness to obtain required. NYS License, CSR, DEA preferred, but not required. Ability to conduct EMGs required; EEGs preferred. Residency training in Neurology required.
