About the role
Manager, Service Sales Fluence is seeking a Manager, Service Sales to drive order intake and revenue growth for Fluence's Service organization in the North and South America. This role requires a strategic, analytical mindset and demonstrated experience in O&M sales, long term service agreements, and market development, preferably in energy storage or renewable energy sectors. In this role you will contribute individually, work across internal teams, and manage external relationships with Fluence service customers. Technical knowledge of energy services markets and of battery-based energy storage systems is desirable, but an agile mindset with comfort of working and learning in a fast-paced technology scale-up environment is essential. Key role responsibilities include: Develop and implement service sales strategies to increase service order intake, increase annual recurring revenue and further cultivate relationships with Fluence asset owners. Ensure that such sale strategies are effectively coordinated with marketing efforts. Serve as the subject matter expert on the Fluence Service product portfolio to internal stakeholders for new project opportunities and long-term service agreements associated with such opportunities. Lead and/or support, as needed, the negotiation of long-term service agreements and other service contract(s). Work with Service operations leadership, Services Product Management and Growth teams to develop and implement new product offerings to create access to specific customer markets. Conduct market research on competitors' products and service strategies to keep strategic sales on target. Participate in the development of new service products and support materials Manage assigned sales opportunities in Salesforce Present Fluence Service offerings and value propositions to customers and internal partners when needed. Develop network and market knowledge of relevant electricity markets in the Americas. What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence? 8 years of experience in Sales roles with a focus on operations and maintenance offerings in the energy sector – preferably energy storage or renewable power generation Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field Strong interpersonal skills; able to build and manage strong relationships with team, cross-functional colleagues, and external partners Possess an entrepreneurial drive for getting things done and a "whatever it takes" attitude. Exhibit a forward leaning posture, high ownership, and diligent pursuit of new opportunities. Ability to work dynamically and cross functionally within teams spanning both the regional organization and the Service team in a fast-moving technical business environment.
