About the role

About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Tech Transactions Paralegal to join a rapidly growing, fully remote startup law firm supporting venture-backed companies across industries including AI, healthcare, health tech, ed tech, biotech, and technology. This is a highly hands-on role working directly alongside attorneys on the Tech Transactions team. You will help manage the full commercial contract lifecycle while enabling attorneys to operate at greater leverage as client demand continues to grow.
What You'll Be Doing: Review, redline, and manage a variety of commercial agreements, including:
  • Master Services Agreements (MSAs)
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • SaaS agreements
  • Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
  • Business Associate Agreements (BAAs)
Support the full commercial contract lifecycle, from initial intake and review through negotiation and execution. Work closely with attorneys to identify issues, prepare markups, manage revisions, and keep transactions moving efficiently. Support venture-backed startup clients across a broad range of industries, including AI, health tech, ed tech, biotech, and other emerging technology sectors. Handle healthcare-related commercial agreements, including BAAs and agreements involving HIPAA-related provisions. Improve internal processes, documentation, workflows, and handoffs to increase team efficiency and quality. Collaborate with attorneys, project managers, and engineers in a squad-based model to provide responsive, embedded client support.
Key Requirements: 4+ years of experience as a Tech Transactions Paralegal or in a closely related commercial contracts role. Strong hands-on experience reviewing, redlining, and marking up commercial agreements, particularly NDAs, MSAs, and SaaS agreements. This role requires substantive contract experience, not solely contract administration. Experience supporting clients across multiple industries and business models. Healthcare industry experience, including familiarity with BAAs and HIPAA-related contractual provisions. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple matters and priorities in a fast-paced, fully remote, high-autonomy environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and cross-functional teams. Genuine interest in helping build and improve the way legal services are delivered in a growing, technology-forward law firm.
Nice to Have: Experience participating in or leading the rollout of AI-enabled legal tools, such as Harvey, Legora, or Microsoft Copilot. Experience developing commercial contracting processes, playbooks, templates, or other workflow improvements. Prior experience supporting high-growth or venture-backed companies. What Makes Someone Successful in This RoleYou are someone who can get into the details of a contract, understand the commercial context, and produce thoughtful markups under attorney supervision. You are equally comfortable managing the process around the agreement and looking for ways to make that process faster and more effective. This opportunity is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys building from the ground up, working with innovative companies, and using technology to rethink how legal services are delivered. The salary for this position is between $125K–$160K + equity. Equity component is meaningful and undiluted.

Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
