Infrastructure Capacity Planning Engineer | Cloud & Data CenterOur client is expanding its cloud capacity engineering team and is looking for anInfrastructure Capacity Planning Engineerto help plan, analyze, and optimize infrastructure across a large private cloud environment. The team is responsible for theend-to-end capacity lifecycle - from planning and forecasting through procurement, deployment, utilization, and ultimately reducing or eliminating unused capacity. What You'll Be Working OnPrivate cloud infrastructure supportingVMs, containers, compute, storage, and network environments Long-range infrastructure forecasting Capacity modeling and utilization analysis Data center power, rack, and cooling capacity planning Infrastructure procurement and capacity validation Resource optimization and reclamation Infrastructure scaling and augmentation Automation of capacity planning processes and tools
Responsibilities: Work with application and infrastructure teams to understand future capacity requirements Build forecasting models for long-term infrastructure growth Develop automated tools to improve capacity planning and analysis Measure performance and utilization across deployed compute and storage resources Analyze capacity trends and identify potential risks Recommend infrastructure scaling and optimization strategies Validate infrastructure designs and procurement requirements Partner with compute, storage, and network engineering teams Review bills of materials and infrastructure deliverables Support quotes, funding requests, and procurement tracking Assist finance teams with infrastructure budgeting Maintain capacity planning frameworks and infrastructure inventories Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and technologies Communicate capacity findings and recommendations to technical stakeholders
Qualifications: 3-5+ years of relevant experience Background ininfrastructure engineering, capacity planning, cloud infrastructure, or infrastructure analytics Experience with cloud/private cloud technologies Understanding ofcompute, virtualization, storage, and networking Experience with forecasting, modeling, utilization analysis, or resource planning Experience automating technical processes or developing planning tools Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills If your background combines infrastructure engineering with data-driven capacity planning, forecasting, and optimization, we'd like to hear from you.
