About the role
To drive revenue growth in the public sector, the full-time salaried Vice President of Government Sales will lead a team focused on acquiring and expanding government accounts while developing sales strategies and fostering relationships with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Own and drive net-new bookings and expansion revenue within government accounts, collaborating with Customer Success for upsell opportunities
Lead and coach a diverse team of government sales representatives, managing performance targets and ensuring alignment with company strategy
Analyze and optimize sales processes, enforce qualification criteria, and provide detailed performance reporting to enhance operational efficiency
Required qualifications
8+ years of experience managing quota-carrying sales representatives, including 3 years in a SaaS sales leadership role
Experience in public sector sales, particularly with city and state government accounts
Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and exceeding sales targets
Strong command of sales metrics and experience with coaching tools like Gong
High competence with CRM platforms, ideally Salesforce, and strong negotiation skills
