Here, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter.The Impact You'll Make in this RoleAs a Fire Sales Specialist you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to customers, distributors, 3M personnel and new product development teams for 3M's Personal Safety Division SCBA & Fire Solutions products.This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.Here, you will make an impact by:Developing sales opportunities to targeted user segmentsProviding training and education to authorized distributors on products and salesRepresenting 3M/Scott Safety at trade associations, industry meetings, fire schools, combat challenges and conferences providing liaison between distributors and customer usersPreparing and executing sales proposals, contracts, letters, and other customer correspondenceProviding selective reports to management on competitive offerings, pricing, key market information, forecasts for bookings and shipments, and new product developmentsCompany VehicleThis position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this positionYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Three (3) years of safety/industrial experience in a private, public, government or military environmentOne (1) year experience with CRM and Microsoft & iOS appsCurrent, valid Driver's LicenseAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Bachelor's degreeCommercial Experience with technical products5 years of Sales experience in Safety or Industrial Sales preferredExperience as a manufacturer representative (direct or agent) in the Canadian Fire Service IndustrySkills include: Interpersonal selling, negotiation, public speaking and project leadershipStrong oral & written communication skillsHistory in the management of distribution partners an assetWork location: Remote, Calgary or Edmonton (AB)Sales Territory: AlbertaTravel: May include up to 75% domestic travel. Some overnight travelRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedThe expected compensation range for this position is $108,639 -$132,781, which includes base pay and variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
