About the role
# Product Designer- Studio Mobile AppsOur client, a global lifestyle and consumer brand, is growing its studio apps team, building native mobile experiences including a sports fan app and a movement and culture community app. You will design the custom features and pages of these apps within an existing design system, working alongside the system's owner and a design lead, and get your work hand off ready for engineering.
Requirements:
(Must-Haves)- Excellent English communication skills. You will interact directly with clients and cross-functional teams.- 5+ years of product design experience, with a strong portfolio of shipped native mobile apps on iOS and Android.- Demonstrated strength in visual design and brand craft. Your portfolio needs to show polished, on-brand mobile UI, not just UX flows or wireframes.- Experience designing features and pages within an existing design system, without needing to own or build the system itself.- Strong mobile UX fundamentals: user flows, interaction design, and fluency with iOS Human - Interface Guidelines and Material Design conventions.- Comfortable preparing developer-ready hand off specs (states, edge cases, redlines).- Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating with a design lead and a separate design system owner.
Requirements:
(Nice-to-Haves)- Experience designing fan engagement, sports, entertainment, or lifestyle and community apps.- Experience working in a studio or agency model across a portfolio of distinct apps rather than one single product.- Motion design or micro interaction skills.- Experience working in an Agentic Development environment (spec definition, AI agent delegation for code creation, human in the loop review). Familiarity with Claude Code, Codex, or similar harnesses and AI Skills.
Bonus Points:
Branding or brand identity design background.- Prior work designing for sports, entertainment, or culture and lifestyle brands specifically.- A portfolio piece for a fan app, live event app, or community app.
