Multi-Hazard Action Framework Specialist

Providing technical and analytical support, the part-time Multi-Hazard Anticipatory Action Framework Development Specialist will develop and finalize the National Multi-Hazard Agriculture Anticipatory Action Framework, focusing on enhancing agricultural resilience and food security for vulnerable farming communities in Sri Lanka. Key responsibilities Conduct situational analysis and institutional mapping to identify gaps and opportunities for anticipatory action in agriculture Provide technical inputs for risk and vulnerability analysis, preparing sector-specific risk matrices and identifying priority areas for action Support the development of the National Anticipatory Action Framework, including drafting objectives, governance arrangements, and operational modalities Required qualifications Advanced university degree in Agriculture, Climatology, Disaster Management, Social Sciences, or a related discipline At least six years of relevant experience in agriculture, climatology, disaster management, or social sciences Working knowledge of English and Sinhala and/or Tamil National of Sri Lanka or resident with a valid work permit Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder consultations and familiarity with UN operational procedures
