Enterprise Sales Executive — Customs Brokerage & International Freight Forwarding Remote, United States$125,000 base | Target Year 1 OTE: $175,000–$200,000 | Uncapped commission Transmodal Corporation is hiring an experienced enterprise sales executive to win net-new business from U.S. importers and beneficial cargo owners across customs brokerage, ocean and air freight forwarding, drayage, and trade compliance. You will build a self-sourced pipeline and own the complete sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through solution design, pricing, negotiation, close, and implementation. Recent quota-carrying experience directly selling customs brokerage and/or international freight-forwarding services to U.S. importers is required. Operational logistics or procurement experience, and freight-software sales alone, do not substitute for direct external services sales. What You Will Own• Build and manage a self-sourced pipeline of qualified importer and shipper opportunities• Use relationships, trade data, referrals, events, partnerships, and targeted outreach to generate new business• Lead the full sales cycle, including discovery, solution design, pricing, proposals, RFPs, negotiation, and close• Qualify opportunities for operational fit, margin, service requirements, and long-term account value• Coordinate with Customs, Compliance, Pricing, Operations, Product, Engineering, and leadership• Remain involved through implementation and the transition to a stable operating relationship• Expand accounts across customs, compliance, ocean, air, drayage, and ground transportation• Maintain accurate CRM activity, opportunity records, and forecasts What You Bring — Required• At least five years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience, including at least three years within the past five directly selling customs brokerage and/or international ocean or air freight-forwarding services• A documented record of personally sourcing and closing net-new U.S. importer or beneficial cargo owner accounts• Full-cycle ownership from initial outreach through pricing, negotiation, close, and implementation• Working knowledge of freight and customs pricing, service levels, operational fit, margin, and shipper buying processes• Strong discovery, negotiation, executive presentation, and disciplined CRM-management skills• U.S. location and legal authorization to work in the United States Preferred Experience• Transpacific ocean or air trade lanes• Bundled customs brokerage, freight forwarding, drayage, and trade-compliance solutions• Enterprise importer or beneficial cargo owner accounts• Gross-profit-based quotas, pricing, and margin management What You Will Have• Open territory across U.S. importers and shippers, with priority on transpacific trade• A modern CRM, trade data, and prospecting resources• Support from experienced Customs, Compliance, Pricing, Operations, Product, and Engineering teams• Customer-facing booking, visibility, documentation, milestone, and exception-management technology• AI-enabled customs tools that can be demonstrated during discovery• Direct access to company leadership• Documented house accounts and clear CRM-based opportunity ownership Compensation and Account Economics• Base salary: $125,000• Target Year 1 OTE: $175,000–$200,000• Commission: Uncapped and based on collected gross profit• Target production: $500,000–$750,000 in net-new collected gross profit, based on experience and ramp stage• Commission schedule: Shared in writing during the interview process• Existing book transition: Candidates with a verifiable book of business may be eligible for a three-month commission advance, with final terms documented in the written compensation plan Benefits and Logistics• Remote position within the United States• Paid time off• Medical insurance• 401(k) with company match• Customer and industry-event travel based on pipeline and account requirements• Monthly or quarterly leadership on-sites as needed• Advancement opportunity toward a management role based on performance, leadership capability, and business needs Apply through Linked In or send your resume to hr@transmodal.net.
