About the role

The Business Development Manager – Professional Services is responsible for driving new business growth for HireWorks by identifying, developing, and securing staffing and recruiting opportunities within the professional services market.This individual will focus primarily on developing relationships with companies seeking professional-level talent across areas such as accounting & finance, human resources, administrative, operations, supply chain, sales & marketing, IT, engineering, and other corporate functions.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & SalesDevelop and execute a strategic business development plan focused on professional services clients.Identify, research, and prospect new companies through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, industry events, and other channels.Develop relationships with C-suite executives, business owners, HR leaders, hiring managers, and department heads.Generate new client opportunities and manage the sales process from initial contact through contract execution.Conduct discovery meetings to understand client workforce needs, hiring challenges, organizational structure, and talent requirements.Present HireWorks' recruiting and staffing solutions based on the client's specific needs.Prepare proposals, pricing, service agreements, and presentations for prospective clients.Negotiate terms and close new business while maintaining appropriate pricing and profitability.Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue goals.Client Relationship ManagementBuild and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key decision-makers.Serve as a trusted advisor regarding recruiting strategy, talent availability, compensation, and market conditions.Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships into additional departments, locations, or service lines.Conduct regular client check-ins and business reviews to ensure satisfaction and identify additional opportunities.Work closely with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure client expectations are met.Target PositionsThe Business Development Manager will focus on generating recruiting and staffing opportunities for professional-level positions, including:Accounting & FinanceHuman ResourcesAdministrative & Office SupportSales & MarketingOperationsSupply Chain & ProcurementIT & TechnologyEngineeringProject ManagementCustomer ServiceExecutive & ManagementOther professional and corporate-level positionsQualifications3+ years of business development in staffing, recruiting, professional services, or B2B sales experience preferred.Experience selling staffing or recruiting services is strongly preferred.Demonstrated success generating new business and closing B2B sales.Strong understanding of consultative selling and relationship development.Ability to effectively communicate with executives, HR professionals, and hiring managers.Strong prospecting, cold-calling, networking, and presentation skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized with strong follow-up and pipeline management abilities.Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a performance-driven environment.Proficiency with CRM systems, LinkedIn, Microsoft Office, and other sales tools.CompensationCompetitive base salary plus performance-based commission and/or incentive compensation.The compensation structure will be designed to reward both new client acquisition and revenue growth, providing significant earning potential for high-performing business development professionals.About HireWorksHireWorks is a staffing and recruiting firm providing temporary staffing, direct-hire recruiting, professional services recruiting, and workforce solutions to companies throughout Texas and beyond.
