Operations Team Member Position Summary: Operations Team Member are the heart of the ARTE MUSEUM guest experience — the first face visitors see and the team that keeps every corner of the museum running smoothly. From welcoming guests at the front desk to maintaining the beauty of the exhibition floor, Operations Staff rotate across key functions including Reception, Ticket Checking, Rounding, MD Shop, and Tea Bar(Cafe). Operations Staff Responsibilities: Greet and welcome all visitors — including VIPs and large groups — ensuring every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive Deliver accurate, engaging information about the exhibition, ticketing, and museum policies Rotate across the following operational areas: Reception & Ticket Checking Process ticket verification and validate special discount eligibility Manage crowd flow at lobbies and entrances Oversee stroller/wheelchair rentals, storage lockers, and VIP invitation tickets Handle emergencies and troubleshoot guest concerns with professionalism Rounding (Exhibition Floor)Patrol the exhibition zones to ensure content quality — mapping, warping, and focus integrity Report any content or facility issues to the relevant team promptly Maintain zone cleanliness and guest comfort, including temperature and scent control Organize interactive stations (Live Sketchbook, STAR RAINDROPS, etc.) and collect lost itemsMD Shop Assist guests with product information and purchases Manage inventory, stocking, and quarterly audits Process payments, exchanges, and refunds; oversee cash handling and delivery Keep the store organized, clean, and visually appealing Tea Bar (Cafe)Take guest orders, prepare and serve beverages with care Maintain daily inventory records and ensure kitchen hygiene standards Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to walk-in guests
Job Requirements: Minimum 1 year of full-time customer service experience required Must be available for full-time employment only (40 hours per week) — part-time availability will not be considered Physically able to remain on your feet for extended periods, walk throughout the museum, and lift up to 15–20 lbs Food Handler Certificate (or card) required for Tea Bar rotation Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Strong customer service orientation with warm, professional communication skills Active listening and clear verbal communication; ability to explain exhibition content engagingly Proactive, adaptable team player with a collaborative mindset Able to handle emergencies calmly and follow operational guidelines Comfortable working rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays Upselling skills and a service-first attitude
