About the role
Regional Head of Conference Production – USDNA Recruit is working with a leading global business intelligence and events organisation to recruit a Regional Head of Conference Production to lead its US conference portfolio. Operating across the private markets sector, including private equity, private credit, real estate and infrastructure, the business delivers premium conferences, industry intelligence and networking opportunities to senior investment professionals around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a well-established US events portfolio at a pivotal stage of its development. The organisation is undergoing a significant strategic transformation, moving towards fewer, larger and more commercially impactful conferences, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences for delegates, sponsors and industry partners. Reporting to the Global Head of Conference Production, you'll lead the regional events strategy, manage a team of experienced conference producers and senior event leaders, and play a central role in shaping the future direction and commercial success of the US portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Strategy & Portfolio DevelopmentLead the strategic direction and commercial performance of the US conference portfolio.
Drive the transition towards fewer, larger and more impactful events, maximising audience engagement and revenue opportunities.
Develop a multi-year events calendar, identifying opportunities for growth, consolidation and new event formats.
Evaluate existing conferences, identifying high-performing events to develop and opportunities to improve or reposition underperforming products.
Work closely with global leadership to align regional initiatives with wider business objectives.
Conference Production & Content:
Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality, commercially successful B2B conferences.
Work alongside senior producers to develop compelling agendas, innovative formats and engaging delegate experiences.
Ensure conference content reflects emerging industry trends and the needs of senior-level audiences.
Support speaker recruitment strategies, leveraging industry relationships to attract influential speakers and thought leaders.
Maintain consistently high production standards across the regional portfolio.
Commercial Growth & Financial Management:
Take ownership of regional event performance, including revenue, profitability, attendance and audience engagement.
Identify opportunities to grow sponsorship, delegate and partnership revenues.
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop targeted audience acquisition strategies.
Oversee event budgets, ensuring strong financial performance and effective cost management.
Use performance data and market intelligence to inform commercial decisions and future investment.
Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of conference producers and senior event professionals.
Establish clear objectives, performance measures and development opportunities across the team.
Foster a collaborative, commercially focused culture that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Work closely with regional operations, marketing, sales and global leadership teams to ensure successful event delivery.
We're looking for an experienced commercial conference production leader with a strong track record of managing successful B2B event portfolios and developing high-performing teams.
Essential Experience:
Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial B2B conference production.
Minimum 5 years' experience in speaker recruitment and developing senior-level conference content.
Proven experience leading and developing conference production teams.
Strong commercial understanding of conference revenue models, including delegate sales, sponsorship and partnerships.
Experience managing event portfolios, budgets and commercial performance.
Ability to develop and execute regional event strategies while balancing multiple priorities.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
Desirable Experience:
Background producing conferences within financial services, private equity, private markets or investment sectors.
Experience managing large-scale, premium B2B conferences and international event portfolios.
Previous involvement in portfolio transformation, event consolidation or launching new conference formats.
