Job Overview: The District Sales Manager - Aftermarket serves as the primary field sales representative responsible for growing replacement equipment sales, strengthening distributor and service company relationships, and executing territory growth initiatives. Key responsibilities include prospecting and converting independent service companies, expanding Hayward product penetration, launching new products, and driving revenue growth across the aftermarket channel.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a territory business plan focused on aftermarket sales growth and market share expansion. Identify, prospect, and convert targeted service companies to increase adoption of Hayward products and solutions. Build strategic relationships with B-target accounts and implement account development plans to increase sales volume and customer loyalty. Conduct regular joint sales calls with distributors and key aftermarket customers to identify opportunities and drive conversion efforts. Support distributor partners in maintaining appropriate inventory levels, new product introductions, and aftermarket growth initiatives. Deliver product demonstrations, technical training, and educational programs to service companies, retailers, and distribution partners. Leverage Salesforce CRM to manage customer engagement, track pipeline opportunities, document activities, and forecast sales performance. Analyze market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and sales data to identify growth opportunities and develop targeted sales campaigns. Promote Hayward products through industry events, trade shows, distributor open houses, service company meetings, and training workshops. Collaborate with Technical Service, Customer Service, Marketing, Engineering, and Product Management teams to support customer needs and provide market feedback. Drive replacement equipment opportunities across pumps, filters, heaters, automation, salt systems, cleaners, and related aftermarket product categories. Maintain regular communication with Sales Leadership regarding territory performance, account activity, market intelligence, and business opportunities. Prepare and submit timely monthly business reviews, territory plans, call reports, forecasts, and expense reports. Manage territory expenditures in alignment with budget expectations. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Support and participate in local industry service organizations such as IPSSA and UPAQualifications High school diploma required; 4-year degree or pool industry experience preferred.3+ years of technical experience in the pool industry, ideally in a field-management role. Expertise in swimming pool products, repairs, and applications. Proficiency in business tools and reporting systems. Strong consultative selling, prospecting, and relationship-building skills. Experience developing new business opportunities and growing existing customer relationships. Ability to analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer opportunities to create actionable business plans. Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce. Excellent verbal, presentation, and communication skills. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the swimming pool industry, service channel, and aftermarket business models. Experience selling through distribution and service company networks. Mechanical aptitude and understanding of plumbing, hydraulics, automation systems, and equipment troubleshooting. Familiarity with pumps, filters, heaters, automation controls, sanitization systems, and related pool equipment. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
Travel Requirements: Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory, including overnight travel as required. Ability to attend training events, trade shows, customer meetings, and industry conferences. Success Measures Growth in aftermarket sales revenue and market share. Conversion of targeted service companies to Hayward products. Expansion and development of B-target accounts. Achievement of territory sales quotas and strategic objectives.
