Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Binghamton, NY within the Machining industry is looking for Industrial Powder Coat Applicators. Job Summary Pay: $23 - $24.50 per hour 1st Shift/ Mon. - Fri.
Powder Coat Responsibilities: Prepare metal components by cleaning, masking, and conditioning surfaces. Apply powder coatings according to engineering drawings and work instructions. Operate manual and automated powder coating spray equipment. Set up, adjust and monitor spray systems to maintain proper powder flow. Measure coating thickness using mil gauges to verify compliance with specifications. Complete finishing processes to ensure coated products meet appearance and durability standards. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on coating equipment. Monitor and regulate temperatures and airflow in drying ovens during curing cycles. Load and unload metal parts from ovens using proper material handling methods. Complete production records, inspection documentation, and other required paperwork. Identify coating defects or equipment issues and work with team members to resolve problems. Safely operate a manlift and wear required fall protection equipment when coating oversized assemblies. Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and operating procedures. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Powder Coat Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-3 years of manufacturing painting experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of powder coating processes, materials, and application techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
  • Experience operating spray equipment and applying industrial coatings
  • Familiarity with curing, sealing, and finishing coated metal products
  • Ability to read specific directions related to the product mix
Ability to follow directions, work independently, with minimal supervision. Physical position that involves a degree of stamina and upper body strength. Must be able to work around chemicals and sand products. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Why you should apply....
