Retail Sales Manager, Wholesale Distribution$80K–$100K base + performance bonus
About the Company: Our client is a leader in their industry with a long track record in the Northeast. They supply independent retailers and commercial customers, and they operate distribution centers in several Northeast states. They're looking for a proven sales manager to take over an established book of business and grow their retail relationships across the region.
The Opportunity: You'll work closely with the internal sales team to grow a strong network of retail accounts across the company's full territory. That territory runs from Delaware to Massachusetts.
What You'll Do: Manage and grow relationships with retail store accounts across the Northeast territory Sell product lines to retail partners and win new display placements in stores Work with the internal sales team on account strategy, promotions and product rollouts Find new retail accounts and develop them into long-term partners Keep track of sales performance, display activity and market trends to spot growth opportunities Act as a trusted advisor to retail owners and buyers on product mix, merchandising and sell-through What You Bring 2+ years of sales management experienceA track record selling to retail customers Experience in durable goods is ideal; consumer products backgrounds selling for manufacturers are also welcome. Comfort with about regional travel. A self-starter who can build relationships and likes working independently in the field Strong communication, negotiation and organizational skills
Compensation & Benefits: Base salary of $80,000–$100,000, depending on experienceA performance bonus tied to sales volume and display placements, with meaningful upside for top performersA high-visibility role taking over an established and well managed client base.
