About the role
- Manage and grow a portfolio of mid-level and major gift prospects and donors
- Develop individualized strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors
- Build relationships that grow major gifts of $10,000+ and other significant philanthropic commitments
- Identify prospective supporters and expand PPCW's major donor pipeline through networking, referrals, research, and community engagement
- Meet regularly with donors and prospects throughout the region
- Represent PPCW at community, civic, philanthropic, and organizational events
- Partner with PPCW leadership, Board members, volunteers, and colleagues on donor cultivation and solicitation opportunities
- Support multi-year and capital fundraising campaigns through prospect development, donor engagement, and stewardship
- Create donor communications, proposals, stewardship materials, and personalized outreach
- Maintain accurate donor records and track relationship and fundraising activity
- RequiredBachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
- At least 4 years of professional major gift fundraising experience, including individual face-to-face solicitations in higher education, health care, social services, or a similar nonprofit environment
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships and successfully solicit philanthropic gifts
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple relationships, projects, and priorities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Comfort representing PPCW and discussing complex issues related to our mission with donors and community members
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Reliable transportation for regular regional travel
- Capital campaign experience
- Experience with donor databases such as Raiser's Edge/NXTExperience with project-management tools such as Asana
- Established relationships or fundraising experience in the Willamette Valley
- Experience with community-centric fundraising
- Pay$75,004.80–$109,304 annually
- Pay is based on experience and internal equity.
