About the role
- Perform a thorough and complete review of loan package to ensure that the loan transaction complies with the terms outlined by Retail Underwriting, and is structured in accordance with regulatory guidelines and corporate loan policy
- Enter loan detail information into the loan platform system; prepare loan documents accurately and issue to closing attorneys and/or title companies and/or branch personnel
- Order flood determinations and obtain flood notice disclosures when required
- Review preliminary documents received from vendors/closing agents such as the legal description for the property to be encumbered, title search/commitment, organizational documents, survey, hazard insurance/flood policy, to ensure the status of the title of the property is acceptable to the bank
- Coordinate loan funding with the closing attorney, wire department and lending team personnel
- Follow wiring protocols to verify data before submitting / processing wire requests
- Prepare loan funding and collect bank fees associated with loan closing, and apply to appropriate general ledger accounts
- Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers via phone calls and monitoring email inbox to ensure a high level of service
- Prioritize and monitor workflow to ensure closing deadlines are met
- Perform a post-closing review of all executed loan documents for accuracy and completeness, then forwards to Loan Boarding for onboarding process
- Provides support to the Loan Boarding Clerk, for delinquent trailing items
- Backup, as needed, for processing non-HELOCs in Loan Director
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Paralegal background is a plus
- Knowledge/Skills Required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Physical and Mental Qualifications
- Standing, walking, bending and stooping required
- Must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time and use a computer
- Must be able to occasionally move or lift up to 10 pounds
- May be asked to work supplemental hours periodically
- Limited travel required during and after business hours
- Hourly Pay Range: $16.38 - $25.62 per hour
