Role Description: The Sales Director – Generative AI for Financial Markets is a full-time, on-site role based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for driving new business and revenue growth with banks, asset managers, private credit funds, servicers, and advisory firms by positioning Scalata AI’s platform across credit and structured finance use cases. Day-to-day activities include developing and executing territory and account plans, leading end-to-end enterprise sales cycles, managing pipelines, and collaborating with presales, product, and marketing teams to craft compelling demos and proposals. The Sales Director will build and nurture executive-level relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure a high-quality customer experience from initial engagement through onboarding. The role also involves gathering market feedback, contributing to go-to-market strategy, and representing Scalata AI at industry events and conferences.
Qualifications: Strong Sales and Business Development skills, with a record of selling complex B2B technology or data products into financial institutions. Experience in Sales Operations, including pipeline management, forecasting, CRM usage, and data-driven decision-making. Customer Service and account management capabilities, focused on building trusted relationships and ensuring client satisfaction and retention. Team Management and cross-functional collaboration skills to work effectively with presales, product, engineering, and marketing partners. Deep understanding of credit markets, structured finance, or capital markets; familiarity with generative AI, data platforms, or enterprise SaaS is highly beneficial. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with comfort engaging C-level and senior stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
