Vice President, Business Development Position SummaryThe Vice President, Business Development is responsible for drivingstrategic growth through Nippon Sanso Matheson's independent distributornetwork and other gas, equipment, and technology related businesses. Reportingdirectly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will identify, develop,and manage relationships with independent distributor owners and businessleaders to create new sales opportunities, and build a pipeline of acquisitionand investment opportunities aligned with the company's long-term growthstrategy.This role combines business development, strategic relationshipmanagement, corporate development, and M&A origination. The VP will workclosely with distributor principals, business leaders, NSM commercialleadership, and the CFO to identify opportunities for organic sales growth,strategic partnerships, and acquisitions.Salary Range: $210,000 – $250,000 (annually +bonus)Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop andexecute business development strategies to accelerate sales growth throughthe independent distributor channel.Build trustedrelationships with business owners, executives, and key stakeholders inorder to build a pipeline of acquisition opportunities.Develop a deepunderstanding of distributor ownership structures, succession plans, and businessperformance. Track emerging technologyand adjacent industry prospects.Conductpreliminary assessments of acquisition targets, including strategic fit,financial performance, growth potential, and business alignment.Support financialmodel development and strategic business cases for investment decisions.Prepareacquisition opportunity summaries and recommendations for the CFO andexecutive leadership team.Partner withFinance, Legal, and Operations throughout transaction evaluation andintegration planning.Supportpost-closing operations integration and business performance tracking.QualificationsBachelor'sdegree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field. MBApreferred.10+ years ofexperience in industrial gases with emphasis in business development, distributor/executivelevel sales management, or M&A.Demonstratedexperience developing executive-level relationships with business ownersand entrepreneurs.Understandingof financial statements, valuation methodologies, and acquisitionanalysis.Excellentcommunication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
