Position Summary: We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Export Coordinator to join our Stanley, North Carolina office. This position is responsible for coordinating international export shipments from booking through departure while ensuring compliance with U.S. export regulations and customer requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable managing multiple shipments simultaneously, communicating with customers and overseas partners, and producing accurate export documentation for export shipments of all modes-air, ocean, truck etc.
Primary Responsibilities: Coordinate ocean export shipments from origin through departure. Prepare and review export documentation, including: Commercial Invoices Packing Lists Bills of Lading Shipper's Letters of Instruction (SLI)AES / Electronic Export Information (EEI) filings when required. Schedule bookings with steamship lines, NVOCCs, and freight carriers. Coordinate pickups with trucking companies and warehouses. Communicate shipment status to customers and overseas agents. Screen shippers and cargo against applicable databases and BIS/Commerce rules and regulations. Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve issues. Maintain accurate shipment records within the company's operating system. Work closely with Customs Brokerage, Operations, and Sales teams to provide seamless customer service.
Qualifications: Required Experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, customs brokerage, or export operations. Working knowledge of international shipping documentation. Understanding of ocean export procedures. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment. High attention to detail. Preferred Experience with AES/EEI filings. Familiarity with Incoterms. Knowledge of U.S. export regulations. Experience using Cargo Wise or similar freight forwarding software. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
