Innovative and growth-oriented thermal component distribution company dedicated to providing quality process heaters and thermal control solutions that enable business customers to maintain optimal production efficiency across manufacturing organizations within the plastics, automotive, chemicals, rubber, glass, cement, packaging, and food & beverage industries. The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with existing commercial business customers, in addition to identifying and developing new business opportunities through consultative sales and providing technical assistance. A successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, and customer-centricity. This is an ideal position for a sales-oriented professional with technical competence or a background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. Client relationship management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to product specification and application, pricing, order fulfillment, availability, and alternative solutions. Understand customers’ business needs and objectives, and proactively identify opportunities to add value and enhance the client experience New business development: Support lead generation, negotiation and closing sale opportunities Conduct thorough research to understand potential clients' business challenges and goals Develop tailored solutions and proposals to address clients' needs and position best product and service solutions Effectively manage customer pipelines and opportunities in CRM software, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting Collaboration, communication, and professional development: Partner with internal teams, including marketing, business development and customer support to align strategies and ensure seamless client experience Communicate client feedback, market insights, and competitive intelligence for product development and go-to-market strategies Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and competitor offerings Participate in training sessions, workshops, and other professional development activities to enhance sales skills and product knowledge
Qualifications: Successful experience in sales engineering or technical sales. Industrial distribution a plus. Degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial/manufacturing/reliability engineering or related technical or business field Strong ability to communicate technical information clearly over the phone, live chat, email, etc. Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools; ability to adapt to new technologies quickly This is an on-site position based in Mount Airy, MD
