Patient Care Technician At The Johns Hopkins Surgery Centers, the Patient Care Technicians are an intricate part of our surgical care. The PCT is responsible for routine patient activities and support of Surgical Team.1 year of clinical experience is required, Endoscopy experience required, CNA certification also required. Prepares endoscopy rooms for procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, and renal biopsies Performs scope setup, leak testing, and basic functional checks under guidance Ensures required supplies and equipment are available prior to case start Assists with scope and accessory handling under RN/MD direction Supports patient positioning specific to endoscopic procedures Follows established workflows and responds to real-time direction during cases Recognizes when assistance is needed and escalates appropriately Maintains aseptic technique and patient safety standards
Salary Range: Minimum 24.00/hour - Maximum 24.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
