Pay: $30-$45/hr (based on experience)
Shift:
1st Shift Schedule: Four 10s (Mon-Thu) Half day OT Friday - Nights & weekends off Environment: Clean, temperature controlled facility with new equipment and an exceptional team
About the Role:
A high precision manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Machinist / Tool Maker / EDM Programmer to support tooling, fixture design, prototype machining, and process improvement. This is a hands on role for someone who thrives in a modern, organized shop and enjoys solving complex machining challenges.
What You'll Do:
- Build, modify, and maintain tooling, fixtures, and workholding
- Program, set up, and operate ProtoTRAK mills/lathes
- Program and run Wire EDM equipment
- Machine prototype and production parts from prints, CAD models, or instructions
- Resolve nonconforming part conditions and improve processes
- Apply GD&T and precision measurement techniques
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams
- Recommend improvements to reduce setup time and improve quality
- What You Need 5-8+ years Tool Maker, Tool & Die, EDM, or Machining experience
- Strong ProtoTRAK conversational programming skills
- Manual & CNC mill/lathe experience
- Wire EDM programming/operation experience
- Ability to design/build fixtures and solve manufacturing issues
- Strong blueprint reading & GD&T skills
- High attention to detail and quality mindset
- Journeyman or apprenticeship preferred (not required)
Nice to Have:
CAD/CAM experience Aerospace/medical/defense machining background Lean/continuous improvement experience
