About the role

Dialysis Technician We are seeking experienced Dialysis Technicians. The ideal candidates must possess current dialysis certification and CPR/BLS. This role involves providing specialized direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care and initiate/discontinue dialysis treatments while monitoring patients throughout the process. Maintain professionalism through appearance and behavior at all times. Understand and apply infection prevention protocols related to dialysis biomedical equipment. Perform daily and periodic water room checks to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Document equipment status, repairs, and other regulatory points as required. Collect patient assessment data, including measuring vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight), and record information accurately. Set up patient stations, including preparing chairs, supplies, and machines prior to treatment; disassemble and clean machines post-treatment. Cannulate patient access and manage the removal of needles upon treatment completion. Perform dialysis catheter care, including accessing and flushing catheters with heparin as needed. Conduct safety checks on water, dialysate, and machines regularly. Perform lab specimen collections and manage inventory of medical supplies. Participate in departmental performance improvement and educational initiatives.
Qualifications and Certifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role. Required certifications: Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (NNCC or BONENT) and approved CPR or BLS certification.
