Role Description: The Certified Medical Assistant at Magnolia Endocrinology is a full-time, on-site role based in Summerville, SC. This role involves rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations. Responsibilities include assisting with procedures, managing patient flow, updating medical records, coordinating prescription refills, and supporting providers with clinical and administrative tasks. The Certified Medical Assistant will also help with patient education, scheduling, handling phone inquiries, and ensuring a clean and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess skills in Medical Assisting and Patient Care to support endocrine providers and deliver compassionate, efficient clinical services. Candidates should possess skills in Medical Terminology and Medical Records to accurately document encounters and communicate clinical information. Candidates should possess skills in Medical Office operations to manage scheduling, patient communication, and basic administrative tasks. Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) and BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within a specified timeframe. Experience in endocrinology or a related specialty is preferred, with strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Ability to work collaboratively in a patient-centered environment and demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
