About the role

PBX Operator / Receptionist The PBX Operator / Receptionist is for the timely answering and routing of all incoming telephone calls. In addition, functions as the Hospital's front desk receptionist.
Essential Functions:
  • Operate telephone switchboard receiving incoming calls
  • Use overhead paging, two-way radios, and other communication equipment to relay messages and transfer information
  • Provide basic information regarding the Hospital to callers and visitors
  • Announce and relay information concerning fire alarms, disasters, codes blue and other emergencies
Education/Training/Experience:
  • High School Education/GED preferred
  • Previous PBX experience and clerical experience preferably in a healthcare/hospital environment
  • Excellent communication skills including correct grammar and spelling
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Must be able to work all shifts (as needed)
