About the role
Seeking a full-time Senior Structural Designer, the ideal candidate will utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) to develop design drawings and collaborate with engineers on foundation and steel design projects, while mentoring less experienced team members in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities:
Coordinate with design team members to review and exchange project information for design development
Check designs for consistency, safety, operability, and maintenance requirements prior to submission
Gather information and collaborate with engineers to develop BIM models for foundations and steel structuresRequired qualificationsCompletion of a vocational training program in Computer Aided Design and 9+ years of structural design experience using Tekla
Ability to interpret multi-discipline engineering and vendor documents
Demonstrated leadership skills to mentor peers in drafting and design
Basic knowledge of the latest computer operating systems
Proficiency in basic spreadsheet, database, and word processing programs
