About the role
Volunteer with the American Red Cross to support your neighbors in need. Help save lives and ensure no one faces life's emergencies alone. Currently, our biggest needed is for the following volunteers: Disaster Action Team MembersA Disaster Action Team (DAT) volunteer is a part of a local team that responds to local disasters including home fires and major storms to provide comfort, hope, and Red Cross services. DAT volunteers ease the difficulties of people unexpectedly overwhelmed by disasters. They are called on to engage with clients, first responders, and the public. ON-THE-SCENE-VOLUNTEER: In person service delivery is a vital part of our mission. This could include on scene at a house fire, operating a shelter after a major disaster, or providing canteen to first responders during an emergency. To learn more, visit: www.redcross.org/aznm
Before you apply
Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.
Your profile is current
It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.
Two examples you can talk through
Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.
A number in mind
What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.
Your notice period
Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.
Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
