About the role

To provide compassionate emotional support, the part-time Massachusetts Licensed Call Taker will answer calls for a 24/7 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, following established protocols while working remotely.
Key responsibilities: Answer calls from individuals in emotional distress, providing support and resources Administer safety assessments and respond appropriately based on risk levels Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Lifeline policies and procedures
Required qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent Strong interpersonal skills for compassionate listening and support Ability to deescalate crisis situations while maintaining composure Cultural competency to work effectively with diverse populations Must reside in Massachusetts or New Hampshire
