About the role

Your new company Your new company is an established General Contractor specializing in federal, secure, and highly sensitive construction projects throughout the DMV, with additional projects across the U.S. and internationally. The company is known for its in-house capabilities, strong client relationships, and repeat business within the federal market. Projects are primarily SCIF and secure construction, typically ranging from $500K–$5M. Your new role This is not your typical Superintendent role. You’ll take your construction experience on the road, managing secure projects across the United States and internationally, with current locations including Japan, London, Bahrain, Alabama, Texas, and more. One week you could be running a project stateside, and the next you could be getting on a plane for an overseas assignment. This position requires someone who is highly flexible, adaptable, and genuinely excited about travel. Plans can change quickly, and you must be comfortable packing your bags and heading wherever the next project needs you, sometimes at short notice. You’ll oversee federal projects like SCIFs ranging from $500K–$5M, managing day-to-day field operations, subcontractors, scheduling, safety, and quality. The ideal Superintendent also brings a hands-on mentality and isn't afraid to put on a tool belt when needed. Superintendent MUST be based here in the DMV (DC-Metro region), with the flexibility to travel nationwide and internationally. What you'll need to succeed Superintendent experience within commercial or federal construction Top Secret (TS) Clearance, either active or the ability to obtain one with company support Previous SCIF project experience Carpentry experience or a strong hands-on construction background OSHA 30 preferred Ability to independently manage projects in the $500K–$5M range Willingness to jump in and assist in the field when necessary What you'll get in return Extremely competitive salary based on experience: $150K–$200K Commuting and traveling benefits Per diem for food and daily spending Medical, dental, and vision benefits 4 weeks PTO Paid holidays 401(k) with 6% match Opportunity to work on specialized federal and secure projects Long-term opportunities with a growing contractor working throughout the U.S. and internationally What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call. Before you apply

Applying takes about a minute. These four things decide how fast it moves after that.

Your profile is current

It's what we read first. Occupations, seniority and locations matter more than a long history.

Two examples you can talk through

Not a portfolio — just two pieces of work where you can explain the decisions and what you'd change.

A number in mind

What you're on now and what would make you move. We negotiate better when we know both.

Your notice period

Employers plan around it, and it's the question that stalls offers most often.

Once you apply, someone reads it and calls you before anything reaches the employer — usually within two working days.
