CDL Bus DriverWe offer training! Get paid while you learn and earn your CDL Bus Driver - Full time and relief driver positions available 10 month - 6 hours/day OR relief/sub drivers as needed Pay $19.18 - $20.21/hour + benefits $1000 Hiring Bonus if you are a fulltime driver or become one after training - $500.00 in three months and additional $500.00 at one year anniversary. $400 Retention Bonus paid every semester you remain a full time Driver with the District Additional $1000 Bonus paid to drivers coming to PUSD with AZ CDL, incl. passenger/school bus endorsements.

Summary: Ensuresstudentsandotherofficialpassengersaretransportedsafelyandefficientlytoandfromschoolandotherschoolrelatedevents(fieldtrips, athleticevents, etc.).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Transportspassengers(students, teachers, parents, etc.)toandfromschoolandotherdistrictsanctioned events. Ensuresthatstudentsaredeliveredtoproperdrop-offpoints. Determinesthatstudentsaremetbydesignated parentorguardianifrequired. Demonstratesandexplainsemergencyevacuationprocedurestopassengersinaccordancewith Transportation Safety TrainingMaintainsdailymileageandroutelogsasrequired. Updatesroutemapsanddirectionsasneeded. Transportsstudents, etc.accordingtoofficialroutedirections. Obeysalltrafficlawsandobservesallmandatorysafetyregulationsforschoolbuses. Performsasubstitutebusdriverasneeded. Conductsadailypre-tripsafetyinspectionofthevehicle. Outsideinspectiontoincludetires, wheels, fluid leaks/levels, windshield, mirrors, warningsystem, exhaustsystemandemergencyexits. Insideinspectionto includecleanliness, instrumentsandcontrols, gauges, warninglightsemergencyequipment, etc. Cleansand sweepsbusinterior. Fuelsbus. Reportsalldefectsornon-operationalfindings. Communicateswithteachers, principal, monitorsandotherofficialsasneeded. Maintainsorderanddisciplineofstudentsandotherpassengersonbusperprescribedpolicies, prepares conductreportsasneeded. Operateswheelchairlift, andloadsandunloadsandsafelysecurespassengersconfinedtowheelchairs, when applicable.

Qualifications & Requirements: HighSchooldiplomaorequivalent;2yearsdrivingexperience ArizonaClassBDriver'sLicensewithairbrake, passengerandschoolbusendorsements ArizonaSchoolBusDriverCertificationAnyequivalentcombinationoftraining, educationandexperiencethatmeetsminimumrequirementsCPRandFirstAidCertificationdesiredPhysical Demands Thephysicaldemandsdescribedherearerepresentativeofthosethatmustbemetbyanemployeetosuccessfullyperformtheessential functionsofthejob.
