About the role
Collaborating with engineering teams, the full-time Electrical Designer will develop technical design solutions for building projects, ensuring adherence to codes and aesthetic requirements, while working remotely or from office locations.
Key responsibilities:
Designs building components by integrating architectural design and complying with applicable codes
Evaluates engineering design requirements and creates supporting drawings for construction projects
Performs calculations, code research, and site surveys to document existing and new construction conditions
Required qualifications:
Proficient in engineering software, including AutoCAD and Revit MEP
Strong knowledge of building electrical systems and familiarity with architectural design concepts
Completion of related post-secondary education
4-7 years of project work experience in electrical engineering building systems
Registration with a relevant professional engineering association is an asset
