About the role
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- At least 5+ years of engineering and/or manufacturing experience
- Proven experience in mechanical design using CAD tools such as Creo.
- Familiarity with FEA software for structural analysis and simulation purposes, sheet metal, electrical schematics and environmental testing a plus.
- ERP/MRP entry
- Knowledge of system design principles involving schematics, lab instrumentation (LabVIEW) a plus.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background, criminal, and drug screening
- · Product development and documentation
- Develop detailed mechanical designs using software such as Creo, including schematics and drafting documentation.
- Conduct mechanical analysis utilizing FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools to evaluate stress, thermal performance, and structural integrity of components.
- Perform root cause analysis on mechanical failures or performance issues to identify underlying problems and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards during design, manufacturing, and testing phases.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles for precise mechanical drawings and quality control.
